Our experience at Nara was fantastic. We had requested them for a meal for the child and they got it really fast. Their service and hospitality is remarkable. Their food is just so comforting. We cant wait to com back here again. You should definitely try their grilled chicken.
Overview
Walking into Nara Thai, Bkc feels like stepping out of Mumbai’s rush and into a calm, well-run Thai kitchen that knows exactly what it’s doing. I’ve eaten here more times than I can count, mostly during work lunches in Bandra Kurla Complex, and the consistency is what keeps pulling me back. Located at Ground floor, Block G, Raheja Towers, Bandra Kurla Complex, Bandra East, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400051, India, it’s one of those places where timing, flavors, and service line up almost effortlessly.
What stands out immediately is how the menu balances comfort and authenticity without overwhelming diners. Thai cuisine is all about harmony-sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and spicy in one bite-and that balance is handled with confidence here. Dishes like green curry and pad thai are not toned down to the point of losing character, yet they’re approachable enough for first-timers. I once brought a colleague who usually avoids Thai food because of spice, and the staff adjusted heat levels without compromising flavor, which says a lot about their process in the kitchen.
From a professional standpoint, what’s impressive is the ingredient discipline. Thai cooking relies heavily on fresh herbs like galangal, lemongrass, and kaffir lime leaves. According to food science research published by institutions like the National Center for Biotechnology Information, these ingredients are rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds. You can taste that freshness here, especially in their soups and stir-fries, where nothing feels reheated or rushed. The tom yum arrives steaming, layered, and aromatic, not flat or overly sharp.
Service deserves a mention because it directly shapes the dining experience. The staff is trained to explain dishes clearly, which helps if you’re unfamiliar with Thai regional flavors. On one visit, I asked how their basil chicken differed from versions I’d eaten elsewhere, and the server explained the use of Thai holy basil versus Italian basil, a small detail that shows real culinary awareness. That kind of knowledge usually comes from proper staff training and a kitchen that values technique over shortcuts.
The dining room itself is relaxed and polished, making it suitable for business lunches, quiet dinners, or even solo meals. Reviews often mention how smoothly everything runs, and I’d agree. Orders come out at a steady pace, tables are cleared quickly, and there’s never that awkward waiting period where you wonder if your food was forgotten. In a commercial hub like BKC, that reliability matters.
Thai food has also been recognized globally for its balance of nutrition and flavor. The World Health Organization has highlighted Southeast Asian diets for their use of vegetables, lean proteins, and herbs, and you see that reflected across this menu. Stir-fried greens, seafood preparations, and rice-based dishes feel satisfying without being heavy. That makes this diner a popular choice for people who want something indulgent yet not exhausting.
Of course, no restaurant is perfect. During peak lunch hours, the place can get crowded, and walk-ins might have to wait a bit. Also, while the menu covers most classics, diners looking for very niche regional Thai dishes may find the selection curated rather than exhaustive. Still, for a business district restaurant, that focus actually works in its favor.
What I appreciate most is how the experience feels intentional. From sourcing ingredients to plating and pacing, there’s a system in place that’s been refined over time. That’s probably why it continues to rank well in local restaurant reviews and remains a go-to spot in BKC. When a place manages to combine flavor accuracy, operational efficiency, and genuine hospitality, it earns trust without trying too hard, and that’s exactly what happens here.

This was our third attempt for our maiden visit at this restaurant and it was worth it! 8/12 is my parents anniversary and exactly a year ago we arrived at Nara only to be turned away due to a staff party. One more attempt in between and it was fully booked. This time i had booked the table only to be sure to have a table. There is outdoor seating too. The hostess quick in finding our reservation and within seconds we were ushered into the restaurant and offered to choose our table which was a big plus as some places designate tables. The ambience was welcoming and elegant. Our server Leishi arrived at our table with greetings and a smile to ask if we were comfortable. Within minutes, we had the menus in our hands and as usual i turned to our server, Leishi for recommendations. I never thought we’d end up having a five course dinner here. The recommendations offered by her were all worth a try. Although, the crispy lotus root starter that we wanted was sold out, we were happy choosing the crispy tofu dish instead. The thai ice tea was also unavailable. We chose a thai bubble tea instead. Do ask them to make a dish less spicy, not everyone can handle that kinda thai heat. Our soup, salad and starters arrived fairly quickly and were served well by Leishi. The chicken starter was a fantastic recommendation. The smoky flavour was also a bit like parmesan somehow and it was perfectly cooked. For the mains, as recommended, we went for the house speciality, green curry with jasmine rice. For me, i got a chicken side dish to go with an extra portion of jasmine rice. I was full but something about the dish made me finish it to the last bit. It was delicious to say the least. Time for dessert and we thought of skipping it because we were so full! But no! Lets get the sweet potato icecream with sticky rice. 2 scoops resting on sticky rice with some garnish. All gone in minutes. Well recommended by another server. All in all, we had 5 courses we never thought we’d have. The food was truly authentic with great presentation elevated by some great service. I was very happy at the end. I will return to try out the unavailable items and many more. Though, I would be on the lookout for some dine-out discounts on swiggy/zomato. A big thanks to Leishi and other staff that interacted with us. Your warmth and smiles truly made our (parent’s) anniversary dinner exxtra special. This one will be remembered. We will return.
Went here to get lunch with a friend. The atmosphere is peaceful and spacious. It was easy to walk in and get a table. We ordered mostly veg dishes except for one chicken satay, and the food was good. The location is convenient to get to from most parts of Mumbai & is a good rendezvous spot for all occasions. Will surely visit again
I recently had the most incredible meal at Nara Thai located in BKC! Their Thai cuisine is seriously next level, and I can't stop thinking about it. From the moment I walked in, the aroma of spices had my mouth watering. I tried their set menu which was nothing but delectable and sweet savored every bite of the authentic dishes, each one bursting with flavor. Such a perfect place for corporate lunch and business meetings. Their Pad Thai and Tofu Dumplings were a flavor bomb. If you're a fan of Thai food ????????, you absolutely HAVE to check this place out; you won't regret it! #ThaiCuisine #FoodieAdventures #NaraThai #BestThaiFood #SpiceItUp #Delicious
Went to Nara Thai on a rainy evening and had a lovely experience overall. The food was flavourful and comforting, just what we were looking for. We tried the Tom Kha Mushroom & Chicken Soup—warm, creamy and full of flavour, perfect for the weather. The Grilled Chicken Salad was also great—the chicken was tender and the lemongrass-mint dressing gave it a fresh, zesty kick. The Prawn Pad Thai was decent, though a bit underwhelming for the price. On the other hand, the Nara Fried Rice really stood out—simple, well-made and definitely something I’d order again. Tried the Butterfly Pea Iced Tea, which was quite unique and refreshing. Ended the meal with their Thai Crème Brûlée—a really nice twist on the classic with coconut milk. Light, not overly sweet, and a good finish to the meal. Service was warm and polite—Rafe attended to us and was lovely. The only downsides were that the food took a little while to arrive, the pricing is on the higher side, and our table was slightly wobbly (minor, but noticeable). All in all, definitely worth a visit if you're in the mood for good Thai food. I’d like to go back and try more dishes.
A Perfect Date Night Spot We recently visited Nara BKC for a date night, and the experience was simply wonderful. The restaurant has both outdoor and indoor seating, and the ambiance is absolutely beautiful — perfect for a cozy evening out. We had booked our table for 7:30 PM, and by the time we finished our meal and were leaving, the place was fully packed, showing just how popular it is. They offer valet parking, which made the experience even more convenient. Another plus point — the restrooms were clean and well-maintained, which is always appreciated. What We Ordered: Deep Fried Butterfly Shrimp with Sweet Chilli Sauce: Crunchy, fresh, and incredibly delicious. Phad Thai Noodles with Chicken: Absolutely perfect — packed with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. Mango Sticky Rice: A must-try dessert! It was the perfect sweet ending to our meal. Overall, Nara BKC offered a memorable experience with great food, a charming ambiance, and excellent service. Definitely looking forward to returning soon!
The atmosphere was very good and food was also very delicious. The quantity in the serving was little less. Staff was very supportive, special attention for small kids.
